People who want to post comments on Carpet-Cleaners.net are going to have to follow our rules. We know that not all forums are like that, but this one is.

Here's the plain English: no libel, slander, no lying, no fabricating, no swearing at all, no insulting groups or individuals, no ethnic slurs and/or epithets, no political statements, no religious bigotry, no threats of any kind and no bathroom humor. Do not post website links (URL's) to un-related sites, for the purpose of propagating the address, or to advertise any for profit endeavor including your own website. We expect heated, robust debate, but comments should be polite and civil. We consider this to be public space so behave and write accordingly.

Yes, what is not allowable is subjective. Carpet-Cleaners.net absolutely reserve the right to edit or remove posts we think break any of the rules or the spirit of the rules or do not contribute to the topic of discussion in a useful way, and we reserve the right to ban individuals from commenting. We will use language filtering programs to block certain words and we will use human editing too.

Comments should be limited to the topic of the original posting. This is not the place for private conversations, no matter how innocent. Members should not post advertisements for products, services, websites, new or used equipment anywhere on the forum.

Members can post information about truckmounts, portable machines, equipment and tools that they have for sale or trade only under the category "Buy, Sell or Trade". Members who are dealers in these items are NOT ALLOWED to post advertisements here or anywhere on this board.

Avatars: Users are permitted to upload one of their own avatars. User defined avatars are to be no larger than 60 pixels square, contain no image which attempts to portray the user as having an official status here (e.g. mimicking ranks or copying avatars of team members), may not exceed 4544 Bytes in file size. Users are not permitted to remotely link to avatars located on other servers or web pages. Avatars are subject to the same conditions as posts with respect decency, and so forth.
